Policies & Fees

48 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY

I do my best to offer a consistent, reliable meeting time for us at the same time and day each week. Therefore, if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice for any session, you will be charged your normal fee, unless we can reschedule within one week. Your appointment is reserved specifically for you, therefore appointments canceled less than 48 hours of notice will be charged for the full session fee of $185 via credit card.  Cancellations must be made by phone or email.

Rates:

$200 - one 75-minute Intake and Assessment Session

$185 - 60-minute Individuals Sessions

$275 - 75-minute Couples Sessions

 

Appointments are $185 for a 60-minute session, unless prior arrangements are made for a reduced fee. Longer sessions are prorated for the additional time. Fees are charged by me manually through Ivy Pay at the start of each session. Method of payment is debit card/credit card through the Ivy Pay payment system. I do not accept insurance.

If you have insurance that reimburses you for mental health services, upon request Ivy Pay will make available a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance company. You can submit this for reimbursement at the end of each month. Please contact your insurance provider to learn more about your out-of-network coverage.

 

PHONE CALLS

I have office hours Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 7pm. If you need to contact me between sessions, you may reach me at (408) 341-9079. I am often not immediately available; however, I check my voicemail and email several times a day and can usually, but not always, return your communication within the same day.  If I’m not able to that day, I will respond to you within 48 hours during the business week, and up to one business day after the weekend. 

 

If our between-session phone call lasts longer than 15 minutes, the call may be billed as though it is a 50-minute session. If we are having frequent check-ins, I may suggest to you that we increase the frequency of our sessions.

MISSED SESSIONS  |  NO SHOWS  |  LATE ARRIVALS

If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late to a session, please call or email me to let me know you will be late or are not coming. If you do arrive late, we will end on time to preserve the following person’s full session time. If I have not heard from you in 10 minutes from our scheduled start time, I may assume you are not coming, and may leave the session. I charge the full rate of your session for a no-show or late cancellation.
